Fuel prices continue their upward trend both nationally and regionally for the week of March 31, 2025

National Overview
The national average retail diesel price inched up again last week to $3.592/gallon, rising $0.025 from the previous week's level of $3.567. This is the third week in a row of small increases. But the current price is still down almost $0.41 from the diesel price one year ago. It is also down around $0.04 from the 2025 annualized average to date of $3.63. Prices had been dropping since February 24 this year and swung higher two weeks ago.

Regionally, prices inched up in all areas. The only sub-regions which saw some price easing were New England (down $0.004) and Central Atlantic (down $0.003).
